Last Ride 2022 (November 10, 2022)

All good things must come to an end, at least for a while. Today was another 70 degree day, but expected to be the last one for some time. Expecting rain next few days, plus temperatures in the 40's with low's in the 20's for the week after that. Have had a great riding season, but time to put the Triumph to bed for the cold weather nap.

Today stopped at 571 Grill and Draft House for a refreshing beverage. I also rode into Medway on my way to the National Museum of the United States Air Force.

Have not been there for a while, and enjoyed wandering around the hundreds of planes, rockets and other items to be found in what is one of my favorite places locally.

Looking forward to the rides to come next year. Taking the battery out of the bike and will be putting that on a battery tender in the next couple of days. Thanks for visiting my page, see you all in 2023.

Beer Run II (November 9, 2022)

Out on a beautiful Wednesday, made a quick run to TJ Chumps for a beverage made in nearby Yellow Springs, Ohio though the bar is in Huber Heights, Ohio. Got a few miles in today, including some riding down some back roads in the area. Was a bit cooler when I got out today, though still supposed to hit something like 70 later today. At least it is a beautiful and sunny day here.

Getting close to the last ride which I am planning to take tomorrow. Some rain expected Friday and then for the next few days the temperatures will run with highs in the 40's with low's in the 20-30 degree range. All good things must end and so will the riding here in Central Ohio for 2022. Will be putting some fuel stablizer in the gas tank during tomorrows ride after fueling it up, and then will take the battery out of the bike.

Thank you for visiting my page, will see you tomorrow after the final ride of 2022.

Huffman Prairie Flying Field Ride (November 7, 2022)

Definitely looking like late fall, rode to one of my favorite places -Huffman Prairie Flying Field. After Kitty Hawk, the Wright Brothers tested and developed the Wright Flyer III which is considered the world's first practical airplane. That plane is one display in Dayton, Ohio. Later they trained other pilots at this field. It became part of the Army Air Force (later Air Force base) there. Was a good ride though did not see any deer when I went out. Still, did see them putting up the Christmas Tree in Fairborn, Ohio which will be lit up in a few weeks from now. It was a good day to get out on one of the last rides of 2022. Season is certainly winding down.

Breakfast Ride (November 6, 2022)

Up early with temperatures in the 40's on a Sunday morning. Will be warmer later (mid 70's) but like riding in light traffic which was virtually none this morning as well as getting some breakfast at McDonald's in Fairborn.

Good eats and a some pretty good coffee also, nice place to stop. A few people in there, but pretty light. As for light traffic, well...take downtown Fairborn for instance in the last photo. Hoped to see some deer while out, but none to be found this morning. Riding season is winding down, but a handful of rides left in 2022. Thanks for riding along!

November Morning Ride (November 5, 2022)

A rare of late morning motorcycle ride, rain expected later today, and besides it was 65 degrees this Saturday. Expecting rain later today, and seemed like a great idea. It was too! Visited with cows, rode by Carriage Hill Farm Lake and saw the rework underway of a local bar. Apparently they are keeping the original front. It was a great time to be out, light traffic and a little breeze.

Thanks for visiting my pages!

Beer Run (November 4,2022)

Another beautiful day with very warm temperatures, got out and rolled around the area. Stopped into 571 for a beer (and only one) as they have a unique selection there. Enjoyed it, and got out a bit more.

Visited the New Carlisle Airport for a look at the trees, and the object sitting between them. Rode out past some farms and fields, as the riding season is sure to wind down soon. This warmer weather though is a nice plus, and really enjoy getting to have some really wonderful rides this time of year. Got a few more days of it ahead and can't beat that.

First Ride of November 2022 (November 3, 2022)

Rode a bit on this day, fall color is rapidly going away but did see this burning bush while out on the backroads and thought it would make a nice photo with the Triumph.

Was a good day to get out. Rains of the past few days have stopped and even better, temperatures are rising to the low 70's which is very nice in Central Ohio in early November. The riding season is rapidly winding down here but nice to have a very nice extension for the next few days.

As always thank you for visiting my pages!

Last Ride of October 2022 (October 29, 2022)

A beautiful day in October and decided to get out due to the temperatures warming from the past few days. At left a photo stop in New Carlisle, also stopped at 571 for a refreshing beverage. Got what is probably one of the last look at fall colors which are rapidly fading. Next colors in the neighborhoods will be Christmas lights in a few weeks, but still some to see. Stopped by the New Carlisle Airport to see some planes flying and parked, and then rode out to Donnelsville, Ohio where I stopped to see the Halloween display there. Was a great ride, and a wonderful day for it!

Once more with Feeling (October 24, 2022)

Another beautiful and warm day, so on this Monday, once more got the Triumph out for a ride around the area.

Rode into Fairborn a few days before Halloween to see the Monsters there, and rolled from there into Enon.

Ran around some country roads past a few farms where harvest is in full swing, and finally out to Great Blue Heron Park. Did not see any of those majestic birds, but did see this very cool sign. Saw some earlier this year, but not lately. Anyhow, thanks for visiting my page.

Sunday Ride (October 23, 2022)

A number of rides of late, but as you can see at left and below, amazing weather for late October. Was in the low-70's as I headed out this Sunday afternoon. Getting a last look at the fading Fall colors, and even got a look at some cows and other critters down in the 3rd photo.

Made a last stop at the New Carlisle Airport, where I got to see this plane getting fueled. Was a great ride once again, this being the third time in three days I have been out. Have to get ready because in just a few short weeks, the temperature will rapidly fall. However, enjoying this Indian Summer while it lasts!

Saturday Ride 2 (October 22, 2022)

Something different of late for yesterday, took a second late afternoon ride. Rode out to Vandalia where I got the photo at left of the dam there.

Made a stop at Hairless Hare Brewing, where I stopped for a Buckeye Nation Peanut Butter Porter. It is as dark as the soul of Donald Trump, but has a much better taste and goes down smoother than that howling idiot.

I had not seen the guitar on display there, but thought it was pretty damn cool. As for the last photo, that is of the Dayton Airport, which is right across the street. Another great ride.

Camera Case Ride (October 22, 2022)

Another beautiful day. Got a new cell phone yesterday, went out today to get a new case for it. No better way to go, and Best Buy had it. Rode also by the World's Best Pizza (well, that is an opinion of mine) and to see the Wright Model B replica. Stopped in Melt for a refreshing beverage. Can see they have all the holiday's covered there. Beer was from Chicago, and quite tasty. Melt is the last two photos below. As for the ride, it was awesome, but then again how could it be anything but? Thanks for visiting my pages!

Last Ride of 2023 (October 27, 2023)
