Last ride of April (April 30, 2025)

Beautiful day to get out on this last day of April. A bit cool with temperatures in the lower 50's, but I was dressed for the ride. Got out once again in the country (which is very nearby frankly). Rode through George Rogers Clark Park, visited some cows on farms and even saw an aircraft at the local airport. Backroads rides even took me to the edge of Springfield once again. 

It was a wonderful day to get out, covered some 30 miles and enjoyed every one of them. 

 

Sunday Ride (April 27, 2025)

After a couple of test rides over the last few days, took a 40 mile ride on a beautiful Sunday. Rode out through some beautiful backroads, and took a ride through Snyder Park in Springfield, Ohio. Stopped for a photo there, seen at left. 

Later went by George Rogers Clark Park, the house in the photo at bottom dates to the mid-1800's. Did not ride through the park, but have often and certainly will again.

Was a wonderful ride and had a great time. As always thanks for visiting my pages  

 

Test Ride 2 (April 24, 2025)

Saw this art work in Fairborn, Ohio this morning during my second ride. Once again watched distance from home as I checked out the motorcycle. All good on this second test ride. 

Did a bit over 20 miles this morning, and temperature was just under 50 degrees. Beautiful day here but expecting some rain later tonight and tomorrow, so thought getting this ride in was a good idea. It was, enjoyed being out early on a Thursday.

First Ride of 2025 (April 22, 2025)

Later than usual, but with the massive rain storms and wild temperature swings of this Spring, have not gotten the Triumph ready for the road. 

However finally getting some great weather and got the motorcycle out for its first ride of the year. Did a good preflight on it, checked tire pressures, chain (which I also oiled) and put in the battery.

Took it out for a test ride, thankfully did not go far as I had a loose positive cable and lost all power. Walked a few blocks to the house for tools, then back to the bike. Got back at the battery and tightened it up. 

Photo at left is from the second test ride, which was fine. Will do another one of those in the next day or so. Good to get my knees in the breeze again!     

 

Last Ride 2024 (November 17, 2024)

Was a fantastic year of riding, with a number of great places and fun adventures. Got out on Sunday, ran a few errands, and got in a few miles. 

As the first show is happening as I write this on November 21 here in the Miami Valley, time to put the Triumph away till the spring. 

Will be putting fuel stabilizer in the fuel tank, and taking the battery out in the next few days.

Looking forward to the adventures to come in 2025. Thank you for visiting my pages. Will still be updating Ohio and Me over the next few months, and back here this Spring.   
 

Veterans Day Ride (November 11, 2024)

View of (part) of Wright Patterson Air Force Base at left, live not far from it. Got out today for a short ride, went to Fairborn, Ohio. Visited the Military History Museum in Fairborn. Had never been there, but it was a very fine museum. Lots of history there and really honors those who served. 

As a veteran myself, think that is really important. Enjoyed the visit and try to do something to remember those who served every Veterans Day, and especially Memorial Day. 

As for the ride, was wonderful as always

 

Saturday Short Ride (November 9, 2024)

Needed to make a run out and no better way to do so than via Triumph. Got out to New Carlisle and down some back roads for a short while. 

Cool morning but some beautiful weather to get out in. Made a stop not far from the house where I got the photo at left. 

Riding season is getting close to ending, while the weather of late has been very warm for this time of year, and with the drought few days to not ride, winter is coming in the near future. For now though, enjoying the last few rides of 2024
