Was a fantastic 64 degrees this morning, a taste of fall during a 32 mile ride today. Got fuel on Enon ($3.74) and then rode out to Young's Dairy to cisit critters. From there into Yellow Springs. Neat town and then down some very cool backroads back into Enon..then to home!
On this moon landing anniversary, got out for a short 20 mile ride. It was a very pleasant 67 degree morning. Stopped by the 3rd lake in the neighborhood. Saw a Great Blue Heron, but as it flew off as it saw me first. It was a very nice ride though on a beautiful Monday morning
After a few days of rain and forest fire smoke ( still some smoke) I got out for a 25 mile ride on a beautiful Sunday morning. 71 degrees and low humidity after the weekend rain. Nice cruise, even saw some deer running around the area.
Got out on a early morning ride of a but over 30 miles. Temperature rose 7 degrees in the short time I was out. Rode thru Huber Heights and into Dayton. Nice day out before heat really increased . Expecting a 100 degree heat index today.
Nice ride this Wednesday morning. Low humidity and temperature around 75. Did a 30 mile ride to Enon, thru Yellow Springs and back home. Made a few stops on the ride.
77 degrees this morning and humidity way down from last week..Rode out to the Air Force Museum to see if Fifi arrived yet. No, but watch this space tomorrow. Got in a good 32 mile ride after walking some of the Memorial Gardens at the museum. Driver got to meet a Dayton Police Officer and I dropped by the Nutter Arena at Wright State on my way home.
Got out again this morning, seemed less warm then yesterday, or perhaps getting used to it. Put the flag out, rode past cornfields and then in New Carlisle Airport watched a bird fly. Did some 26 miles, temperature was 86 degrees with a heat index over 100. Good ride!
Warmest morning out this year, was 90 degrees at 9:30am. Higher with the heat index. Went 32 miles. First rode though Cloud Park in Huber Heights. They are getting ready to celebrate the 4th tomorrow. Made a stop at the Wright Brothers Memorial ( in the background) at Riverside. Rode then though Fairborn to Enon where I got fuel...way up thanks to tRUMP 🙄. still, was a good toasty ride!
Another hot day again with a heat index of over 100, but 74 as I got out this morning. Ran some errands while out but also rode some backroads in a 22 mile ride.
Up just after dawn for a 22 mile ride on this hazy, hot and humid day. Went on a trip for a few days, got back yesterday. Yesterday and today temperature will reach the 90's with a heat index of 105 degrees! Rode out to George Rogers Clark Park in hopes of seeing deer...and did...on a very quiet morning. Was a very good ride!
Had places to go in New Carlisle and Huber Heights, Ohio and went the long way. Covered 29 miles at 60 degrees. Very comfortable ride and glad to get it in with a very rainy forecast over the next few days.
Not just that, also first official day of Summer. Today did a 26 mile ride at 68 degrees. Went back to the museum to see if the biplanes were still there (nope, departed for home). Still, always sights to see there, and a good ride around Fairborn so no complaints.
First of all, Happy Juneteenth. A great day in American history. Got out on the Triumph and rode into Fairborn. Then, rode out to day one of the Stearman Fly-in. Stearman made planes from the 1920's. Most notably they made training aircraft in World War 2. These are what have arrived so far. Was a great ride today, about 36 miles and temperature in the low 70's.
Wonderful weather. Not humid and 69 degrees ( a big change from the past few days here) so got out and got in a 28 mile ride. Ran an errand in New Carlisle where I also saw planes, then out down some country roads where cows were chilling out. A beautiful ride!
