Aviation Ride (September 4, 2026)

 89 degrees with the heat index approaching 100+. Got out on the first ride of September and did 39 miles. Dayton being the home of aviation  stopped to look at some aviation sites. Nice ride today. 

Soybean Ride (August 29, 2026)

 Went on the last ride of August,  stop

ped by a soybean field and got high priced gas thanks to tRUMP while out. Good 35 mile ride though through the country at around 68 degrees.  Like Saturday morning rides as get cooler temperatures and very light traffic. 

Park Rides (August 28, 2026)

 Beautiful Friday afternoon,  got the Triumph out for a just under 30 mile ride at a bit over 70 degrees.  Rode to George Rogers Clark Park,  Snyder Park in Springfield,  and Ferncliff Cemetery which is next to Snyder Park.  It was a very good ride. 

Around US 40 (August 24, 2026)

 Short ride this morning,  14 miles and temperature was 60 glorious degrees. Made a run to New Carlisle on errands with a photo stop at the local hot dog place, and by a sign along 40. Nice ride and a beautiful day 

Cloudy Ride (August 21, 2026)

 Took a ride under very cloudy skies after a very rainy Thursday.  Friday though was nice at 69 degrees though just rode around the nearby Fairborn area. Stayed dry and enjoyed the ride. 

National Aviation Day Ride ( August 19, 2026)

 Rain expected today but got out ahead of it. Did a 25 mile ride again, temperature was 68 degrees. Being National Aviation Day rode to Huffman Prairie Flying Field in Dayton. Wright Brothers flew from there 1904-1905 perfecting their aircraft design. Later it was the site of their flying school. Now it's part of Wright Patterson Air Force Base. This is also Orville Wright's birthday.  

Post Storms Ride (August 18. 2026)

 First ride in 12 days thanks to record rainfall, a few tornadoes over the area. Its been a wild time with some epic floods. Rain was from 6 inches to just over a foot. So...for the first time in awhile got blue skies, lower humidity and temperatures in the upper 60s this morning.  Rode 25 miles, to Enon and New Carlisle.  Ran errands but went the long way. It was a beautiful day to ride!

Around Springfield (August 6. 2026)

 Weather held, so got out again. This day close to 80 degrees under clear blue skies. Went on a 40 mile ride, through some cool small Ohio towns. The Hampton building below was in North Hampton. It was a very fine ride. 

Country Ride (August 5, 2026)

 Got in a 25 mile ride this morning,  a bit later this morning and warmer at 80 degrees.  Nice ride though around the area. Went down some 2 lane roads, stopped at the local airport and by the lake before getting home.  

Coffee Ride (August 4, 2026)

 First ride of August as the rains have stopped for a few days after a stormy weekend.  Rode 20 miles today including a stop at Lefty's for coffee and cherry pie. Cool temperatures,  light traffic and delicious pie! 

Short Putt (July 27, 2026)

 Got out for a short (20 mile) ride on this Monday morning.  Felt good to get out, and enjoyed the out and back ride today. Did make a stop at George Rogers Clark Park and came back home via a different route.

Friday Ride (July 24, 2026))

 Motorcycle with sidecar was taken while out in the car yesterday.  Cool passengers though! As for today's ride stopped to watch a plane fly, and got out in the country for awhile. Again was springlike at 70 degrees, and went some 25 miles. Very good ride!

Enon-Yellow Springs (July 22, 2026)

 Was a fantastic 64 degrees this morning,  a taste of fall during a 32 mile ride today. Got fuel on Enon ($3.74) and then rode out to Young's Dairy to cisit critters.  From there into Yellow Springs.  Neat town and then down some very cool backroads back into Enon..then to home!

Monday Corn Ride (July 20, 2026)

 On this moon landing anniversary,  got out for a short 20 mile ride. It was a very pleasant 67 degree morning.  Stopped by the 3rd lake in the neighborhood.  Saw a Great Blue Heron, but as it flew off as it saw me first. It was a very nice ride though on a beautiful Monday morning 

Sunday Putt (July 19, 2026)

 After a few days of rain and forest fire smoke ( still some smoke)  I got out for a 25 mile ride on a beautiful Sunday morning.  71 degrees and low humidity after the weekend rain. Nice cruise, even saw some deer running around the area. 

Ohio 201 Ride (July 14, 2026)

 Got out on a early morning ride of a but over 30 miles. Temperature rose 7 degrees in the short time I was out. Rode thru Huber Heights and into Dayton.  Nice day out before heat  really increased . Expecting a 100 degree heat index today.
