Hanging with Cows October 26, 2024)

Another beautiful fall day in Ohio. Temperature was in the upper 50's, but a great day to ride. Fall color was wonderful, we are currently near peak color. Considering the drought of the past few weeks, and the predictions that color would be weak, its been a pleasant surprise.

I got out and ran a few errands on the Triumph, which is a fun way to do them. I also got out in the country and greatly enjoyed that as usual.

Mentioned cows and passed quite a few of them, including some that you can see below. Interesting critters and enjoy seeing them while out.

It was a great ride under nice blue skies and had a wonderful time!

A Dam Ride (October 23, 2024)

More Fall color on a beautiful Wednesday in Ohio. This time rode out to Taylorsville Dam (hence the title) to see some of the Fall color.

Enjoy seeing the sights a great deal, and this is a fun area to ride in. Vandalia has a lot to offer and there is a lot to see in that city.

It was a great ride, and the dam (seen at left with the colorful trees) and below is very interesting. A popular area but best enjoyed during the week.

Monday Fall Color Ride (October 22, 2024)

Beautiful Fall Day and first day back from the Rising Sun Trip (can be seen on my Ohio and Me Page) but a good day to get out. Around 60 as I took the Triumph out for a country ride. Smelled a bit of "country air" on this ride too, but that is part of the fun.

Lots of good Reds, Orange and Yellow in the trees. Due to the drought here, was told there would be very little color. Thankfully that was not the case.

It was a beautiful ride, and as always a great time on the motorcycle

Exploring Fall on a Thursday (October 17, 2024)

Was in the low 50's when I got the Triumph out on a beautiful Thursday. Headed into Fairborn after a short delay due to a "Goose Parade": but it was cute.

Saw some Halloween in Fairborn, fall color in the trees, and an inspiring pair of signs while out.

The parade I mentioned in below, and a photo of the bike below that.

Great time out and a beautiful day to ride!

Maintenance Test Ride (October 15, 2024)

Very short ride on this very overcast day. Did some maintenance on the Triumph, adjusted and lubed the chain.

Took the motorcycle out for a short test ride, and all was well. Real happy with the Speedmaster over the years I have had it, very few problems with it. It has been almost Japanese quality wise. The British motorcycle was actually built in Thailand, and seeing that they do excellent work there. Actually lived in Thailand in my Navy Days back in the late 70's, so not really a surprise there.

Saturday in the Park (October 12, 2024)

Cool clear morning after the trip to Niagara Falls. Ran a few errands but a beautiful day for it, as the sun rose in the East (as it tends to do). Headed into New Carlisle and rode out to Enon. Got a quick meal at McDonalds in Enon, and frankly it was.... damn good (unlike tRUMP who sucks).
Was not a huge ride, but did ride into George Rogers Clark Park. Had seen fall color up in Northern Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York the past few days, seeing it here now more and more. Good thing, really enjoy the colors. It was a great day for a beautiful ride and just a wonderful day to be alive and on that Triumph

Country Ride (October 3, 2024)

Rode out on the second day in a row, into the country on a beautiful day. Came across the signs in this farmers field, good to know not all  farmers in this area are bat shit crazy.

Was another beautiful day to get out. Cool and under blue skies, temperature was in the upper 40's. Love riding early in the mornings after 9am, there is less traffic out as rush hour is over, and still a number of woodland creatures come out.

Looking forward to the next ride, thanks for visiting my pages.

First October Ride (October 2, 2024)

Back from Virginia Beach, have had a few days of rain from the hurricane. Thankfully, no damage here, though a real nightmare in Florida, South and North Carolina, and Tennessee. Appreciate the badly needed rain, but sad for the people seriously affected.

Rode this morning, first sunny day in quite some time. Went out to see horses at Carriage Hill Farm, and monsters in Fairborn. Good to get out and was a very nice ride if a bit cool (49 degrees!) but was well dressed for it.

Last Ride 2024 (November 17, 2024)

Was a fantastic year of riding, with a number of great places and fun adventures. Got out on Sunday, ran a few errands, and got in a few mil...
