Return to Huffman Prairie (August 24, 2024)

Another beautiful morning, for second day in the row, got the Triumph out and this time rode out to Huffman Prairie Flying Field. I was hoping to see some deer there, often do, but not today.

That said, fun to see and walk among the history of this place. Can be said to be the first "Airport" in America and it was here that the Wright Brothers perfected their aircraft.

Temperatures were 60 degrees during the ride this morning, not at all bad for late August, but will be having a bit of a heat wave this week.

KC-10 Ride (August 23, 2024)

Rode out to the Air Park at the Air Force Museum in Dayton to see this plane. It is a KC-10 aerial tanker. They have been retired this year, but this plane was flown in and added to the Air Park.

Beautiful day to ride, low humidity and moderate temperatures. Had a good time out on the Triumph and looking forward to the next rides as well.

Before the Rain (August 16, 2024)

Took a short ride before expected rains came to the area. It was a nice morning to get out,.took this photo in Fairborn, Ohio. Nice temperature and dry the entire ride. Rains did come later on.

Nice getting out in the mornings, always light traffic and I enjoy that.

Having a great time riding the motorcycle as always. Hope you have an outstanding day. '

As always........FUCK tRUMP

Vandalia Ride (August 15, 2024)

No wasn't open early Wednesday morning. Rode though to Vandalia, Ohio mainly because it was there, and also because its a great early morning ride.

Directly below, rode to the airport, one of the coolest control towers I have ever seen, and I have seen a few over the years. Planes can be seen in the far background.

Finally, a look at the dam at Vandalia on the way home. It was a beautiful day to ride, and really enjoyed this one.

Sunday Ride and a touch of Fall (August 11, 2024)

Nice Sunday morning ride, seen at left is the Wright Brothers Memorial. Nice monument to the creators of the first powered aircraft. Another beautiful day, this time temperature was 58 degrees. Prefect morning to get out and check out some sights.

I was the Nutter Center at the Wright State Campus (because it was there basically, had no destination in mind) when I saw the heavy smoke. Went to see what it was and found it in the photo directly above it.  Was quite a fire which I read later had been burning for a long time prior.

Anyhow, dressed for the ride and had a wonderful time out. Looking forward to the next one. Had a good mix the last couple of days; country ride Saturday, City ride Sunday. Oh and as always Fuck tRUMP.

Pre-Fall Ride (August 10, 2024)

Beautiful Saturday morning, with a temperature of 62 degrees. Put on the coat and gloves (helmet of course) and got out in the country for a ride.

Went past a number of farms. Saw the building and the alpacas directly below in Christiansburg, Ohio which is a very cool little town just past New Carlisle.

Rode out on through the farmland (note the road sign in the photo below the alpacas) and enjoyed the ride a great deal.

Love those quiet early mornings and getting out into the breeze, especially a nice cool breeze. Thanks for visiting my pages!

Running Errands (August 5, 2024)

Beautiful day and the first ride of August 2024. Had some stops to make in New Carlisle and Enon and no better way to do them than on the Triumph.

Been some hot and humid days, but not too bad early in the morning. Also enjoyed the light traffic.

Got my running done and took the long way home. Was a beautiful ride, even enjoyed the stop for the train....like trains anyhow.

Was a beautiful time. Thank you for visiting my pages and as always....Fuck tRUMP.

"Halloween" Ride (October 30,2024)

Due to a rainy and windy Halloween Day forecast, got out the day early on October 30, to take a last look at the decorations (of which only ...
