Short Sunday Ride (July 28, 2024)

Have been out of town the past few days, came back yesterday. Got out on the motorcycle for a short ride on a beautiful Sunday.

Was a good time to get out. Traffic was not too bad, though later than my usual Sunday morning, so more cars out and about as well as a few motorcycles.

Rode into New Carlisle and out past the airport.
Nothing going on aviation wise there, so hit a few more backroads before getting home.

Expecting rainy weather next few days so the next ride will be in August.

Sunday Morning at Huffman Prairie (July 21, 2024)

Another beautiful Sunday morning. 57 degrees, and loving this weather, though will warm up to mid 80's this afternoon.

Rode out to Huffman Prairie once again, one because its a beautiful ride and two because I was hoping to see some deer. No deer, but yes, it was a beautiful ride.

Stopped at McDonalds for a light breakfast, and made a stop at the old house in Fairborn. At the base, stopped and saw the aircraft. It was a fantastic ride and enjoyed it a great deal!

Backstreets Ride (July 18, 2024)

Amazing morning, and for the next few days lower temperatures and a huge drop in Humidity. Taking full advantage got out on a 62 degree morning and rode down a number of backstreets on a very beautiful July day.

Got out on some different roads and visited the caboose on a familiar road, but had a wonderful 30 mile ride.

Good time and more to come on this fantastic motorcycle. Thanks for visiting my page.

In Search of Deer (July 14, 2024)

Up early this morning, rode to Huffman Prairie Flying Field (the site of the "First Airport" used to develop the Wright Flyer III) in seach of deer. Saw quite a few but only got a photo of one which is directly below. Used the old "motorcycle camera" which is an old Canon. Took some extra work to get the photos edited and downloaded to the site but had a great time. The Hangar and the Catapult which was used to launch the plane, are replicas. Was a good ride, stopped at McDonalds for breakfast. Rode some 30 miles, 65 degrees .

Critter Ride (July 11, 2024)

After the rain from the previous day, got the Triumph out on a beautiful Thursday. Got out to Carriage Hill Farm, and visited with the animals out enjoying the day.

They are really nice, and gentle creatures. If they could vote, none of them would vote for tRUMP.

As seen at left, enjoyed some backroads around the area. As it was after 9am, traffic was very, very light and also enjoyed the cooler temperatures.

Thanks for visiting and as always FDJT.

Taking care of Business (July 8, 2024)

Out on a beautiful Monday, third day in a row to ride which was pretty great. Wonderful weather and a good time on some beautiful roads.

Had a few errands to run, and run them I did both in Medway and Enon, Ohio. One of my favorite ways to do that, and I do whenever I can. Motorcycle not great as I have it set up for heavy hauling, but great for light errands.

Anyhow did some 30 miles on this very fine day, and had a wonderful time as always.

Brunch and a Ride Around Fairborn (July 7, 2024)

On another beautiful day, rode out to Enon, Ohio. Have been to The Last Queen before. Excellent food and great service. It is just like an English Pub because one that is the design and two it is owned by people from England. Great place to eat while riding in on a British motorcycle.

Watched the Formula One race there, while enjoying a "Half English Breakfast". As it was the first time, was fantastic. Definitely my #1 brunch spot in the area, hands down. Looking forward to the next time!

As for the ride went from Enon into Fairborn. Rolled around there, which is the two photos below. Love riding on a Sunday morning, traffic is always very light (at least early) and things are just quiet.

It was a fantastic time, and a beautiful ride!

571 Tipp City Ride (July 6, 2024)

Nice ride on a Saturday. Rolled down 571 to Tipp City, Ohio. Fun town to ride around in with a lot of history. As for roads, 571 is a beautiful ride. Rode basically out and back from the house, and it was a wonderful day for it. Humidity and temperature were both down.

Out in the Cornfields (July 3, 2024)

Nice ride on a beautiful Wednesday morning. Was in the 70's, and humidity rising, but not bad as I headed out on the Triumph.

Rode backroads and as noted rode past the cornfields. Out here, that is not a hard thing to do or to find for that matter. They grow a lot of corn (and soybeans too) here.

Was a fun ride, as usual and had a beautiful morning to do it.

Wandering Yellow Spring and Fairborn (July 1, 2024)

As I did yesterday, got the Triumph out for a cruise. This time went to the Yellow Springs area. Before that, went by Young's Dairy and visited cows there.

Nice ride via some really great backroads, though did turn around at one point due to road construction.

While riding through Fairborn got a glimpse of the Doomsday Plane at the Air Force base, and snapped a photo of it.

Was a great ride on a cool morning with very low humidity.

Xenia Ride (June 30, 2024)

Beautiful Sunday to get out on the motorcycle. Rode to Xenia, Ohio where I visited a few spots (part directly below is fantastic during Christmas) and the new Great Council State Park. Just opened the park a few weeks ago, really nice.

As for the old Gulf station, its now a produce stand, but very nice.

Was a wonderful day to get out and enjoyed the cooler temperatures and the lower humidity.

Thanks for visiting!

Last Ride 2024 (November 17, 2024)

Was a fantastic year of riding, with a number of great places and fun adventures. Got out on Sunday, ran a few errands, and got in a few mil...
