Sunday Morning Ride (July 30, 2023)

Another beautiful Sunday and got out for a bit under blue skies and upper 60-degree temperature. Rode down some backroads and into Huber Heights for a bit.

Have seen that car for some time, finally made a stop and got a photo. Not quite sure what it is, though it has a historic plate and says....1940, so that works for me.

Got a quick stop on the way home and visited the New Carlisle Airport. Total distance was some 30 miles and had a great time!

Sunday with Cows (July 23, 2023)

Another nice day to get out, rode out this Sunday morning, and rolled to Enon. Had been there a few rides back, and went to revisit the cows I came across before. Once again, they came to give the Triumph and me a look.

Beautiful weather once again, was in the low 70's this morning when I got out, low humidity and clear blue skies. A beautiful ride.

Rode out from Enon to Fairborn and then back home. Not a huge ride, but a lot of fun and very light traffic. Thanks for visiting my page!

Riding in a Small Town (July 22, 2023)

On this Saturday morning, got the Triumph out on a glorious day. Temperature in the 60's and low humidity (and the temperature will only be in the low 80's for a high today). Love this weather, and would be fine if this was summer temperatures all season long.

Nice to get out early and as you can see in the photo at bottom, very light traffic. Title comes from the classic song "Small Town" by John Mellencamp.

Hope you have a fantastic day, thanks for visiting.

Monday out in the Fields (July 17, 2023)

Expecting rain today later but a beautiful morning, and got out on the Triumph. Weather was perfect other than smoke from the Canadian wildfires, but even that was not too bad.

Got out and rode around some of the backroads in the area. Was after 9am so the rush hour traffic was gone, and it was a great time to get out.

Rode into New Carlisle to see when the car show is held there (which is the last Monday of the month) and then down some more backroads to home. An excellent ride.

Morning Country Ride (July 14, 2023)

Out on a beautiful Friday morning. 66 degrees and clear blue skies. Rode out making an early stop in the neighborhood to visit with the geese feeding in a neighbors yard.

I rode awhile, stopped at George Rogers Clark Park where I visited the Tecumseh monument (Clark is on the other side of the monument) and looked over the Piqua battlefield. Have a plaque there which describes the event.

Finally after a few more miles stopped and got a photo of the cows grazing in the field. Lots of cows and other animals can be found here in Central Ohio.

Corn Ride (July 12, 2023)

Got out on a warm day in the afternoon after taking care of some morning business. Checked the chain which still does not need adjustment, but added some chain lube before the ride. Checked the tire pressures on the previous ride. Good to keep up on maintenance.

Was a nice ride, as noted from the photos and the title of this post the corn is growing here in Central Ohio. Rode out to New Carlisle on some business. Had some idiot in a dark SUV who apparently was a race driver. Blew past me -guess it was a crisis, or else he was a moron. Anyhow though besides that, a good ride.

Monday's are for Motorcycling (July 10, 2023)

Beautiful day to get out. After some rain this weekend, woke up to upper 70's, blue skies and low humidity.

Got the Triumph out and frankly about. Rode through Enon but stopped a couple of times to get these photos in Fairborn.

Took a photo at the old plant in Fairborn at left, and at a park in Fairborn where I also took the flight line photo of the C-17's there.

It was a fantastic day to get out my knees in the breeze, also light traffic at 9am which is also always nice.

Looking forward to the next ride!

Springfield Ride (July 7, 2023)

Temperature was just under 70, humidity is low and the sun was shining when I headed out this Friday morning. Was a bit of a roadblock while geese crossed the road, but soon I was on my way.

Stopped at Snyder Park in Springfield, Ohio and made a stop downtown there, before heading back out. Good to see the art there, love the wall art and the decoration on the power box.

Great ride, light traffic and very comfortable. As always a fun ride seeing some sights in Ohio.

First Ride of July 2023 (July 5, 2023)

Rode today to the Air Force Museum. Visiting planes there were the B-29 "Fifi", the B-24 "Diamond Lil", and the T-6 Texan. Yesterday, drove the car there at 8am to see them fly in (and those photos are on my "Ohio and Me" page).

Got to tour the planes (well, the B-29 and the B-24). B-29 cockpit is directly below. It was a neat experience and a great ride before and after.

Some very cool history and some rare flying aircraft. 2 B-29's and 2 B-24's are the only ones still flying.

"Halloween" Ride (October 30,2024)

Due to a rainy and windy Halloween Day forecast, got out the day early on October 30, to take a last look at the decorations (of which only ...
