Air Show Ride (July 28, 2022)

A short break from the rain for a few hours, got the motorcycle out for the first time in days. Went to the local post office, then to Huber Heights for the Dayton Air Show tickets (will be going Saturday). That weather looks great, keeping our fingers crossed. Will be posting story of that on my Ohio and Me page this weekend. Rode out to Fairborn, looked in on the guitar store there, and a few other sights before heading home. It was a good ride, considering the weather.

Pre-Storm Ride (July 23, 2022)

Got out for the third day in a row, with a few days of rain in the forecast, seemed like a good time to ride..and it was. Headed down some back roads, even on a Saturday morning, traffic is real light, and temperatures are in the 70's. Clouds as seen at left (also the lack of traffic) can be seen.

Good day to get out. Rode of course through Carriage Hill Farm and around to 202, then roared up 571 to New Carlisle. That can be seen in the second photo below.

After that headed toward home. Made a stop at the New Carlisle Airport, nothing flying today but still a favorite and peaceful place. I think I get up before most people do here. A little coffee and a nice peaceful ride. Was hoping to see some deer but none out today. I think I am later for them.

Looking forward to the next ride, and as always thank you for visiting my pages.

HIstory Ride (July 22, 2022)

Nice early morning ride before the heat builds today. Love riding early anyhow, and a fine day for it. Stopped at an old (late 1800's) schoolhouse and visited the site of the Battle of Piqua. In the last photo the monument overlooks the actual battlefield.

Supposed to get some rain the next few days, so the riding may not be very good, but as with all things will wait and see.

Ride to Vandalia (July 21, 2022)

Nice day to get out, with lower humidity and cooler temperatures. Won't last but today, as both will be coming up. Good day to check out the scenery and ride out a bit. Even stopped at the Taylorsville Dam in Vandalia for a short walk. Just a beautiful day to ride.

Rode past a few Anti-Biden signs along the way. Not many, and enjoy that those assholes voted for the Anti-American tRUMP. No matter what happens, Trump sucks!

Post Maine Ride (July 19, 2022)

Back from Maine (see my "Ohio and Me" blog for those photos) and post rain got out on the motorcycle for the first ride in a few days. Rode out to Huber Heights as far as Riverside, then some backroads around the area. Temperatures this morning were in the upper 60's, but it was very sticky out while out and about.

The Bunny was in my yard and watched me pull up after my 40 mile ride!

Under Cloudy Skies (July 9, 2022)

Got out for a last ride before the upcoming road trip (which will be seen on my Ohio and Me blog) under some dark skies. Rain though held off. Saw a lot of rabbits, and came across a deer at the road...she (was a doe) ran off, was pretty cool. Had a place to go, did that and then put a few miles on the bike. Was a good day though still pretty sticky out. Pretty much owned the roads at 7am, and makes for some great times out in the breeze!

Getting things Done (July 7, 2022)

Got out for a few days before the big upcoming trip and got a few miles in on a beautiful day in Ohio. Ran to a few places (this was one stop in New Carlisle) and took this photo.

The upcoming trip will be seen in a few days on my "Ohio and Me" blog, but good to get things done early before I go with my wife.

Was a good day to ride, with cool temperatures and sunny skies. Just a beautiful ride as they all are, and enjoyed being out after a few days of rain here. We need the rain so can't really complain.

Looking forward to the next ride, and thank you for visiting my page!

Springfield, Ohio Ride (July 1, 2022)

First day of July, and rode out to Springfield to get my knees in the breeze. Sunny and wonderfully cool day, rode through Snyder Park there, and checked out the geese (there were a slew of them) and even a Blue Heron. Took this at the fountain in the park. Rode into Springfield and stopped to get a photo of the Springfield Mural.

While out, saw some deer and of course a lot of birds. One great thing among many of the motorcycle is the 360 degree view you get while riding. Came back and checked the oil level in the motorcycle and the chain slack. All good, so on down the road we go again soon!

Last Ride 2024 (November 17, 2024)

Was a fantastic year of riding, with a number of great places and fun adventures. Got out on Sunday, ran a few errands, and got in a few mil...
